Don’t stay at random islands for too longĮarly on, it may be tempting to stay awhile at a random island, but you will need more planks and plastic to maintain your tools and fuel. Once the shark is dead, you can harvest it for meat and swim around freely. It will return until the bait is eaten, so you should be able to defeat the shark before the bait is gone. The shark will bite the bait, allowing you to get a free hit on it before it swims off. You can kite the shark with a spear, but you can also use Shark Bait to take it down easily. That being said, the shark that stalks your raft will attack you when it spots you underwater. Material like seaweed and scrap can be found underwater in reefs around random islands. It can be easy to forget to do this, so make sure you’re using the table as you explore new environments.
